And I Thought the Shit Had Already Hit the Fan…

Hey, so a friend sent me this link that I think everyone should look at.  It’s a map of col. Gadhafi’s political influence on the African continent, and it paints a gloomy picture of what might happen if/when he is ousted by the Libyan protests (and also demonstrates a level of irony, considering what has been happening in own country vs. what he’s been paying for elsewhere, not to mention some other “projects” that he’s funded, as my friend made sure to point out- namely, the Black September Movement, Carlos the Jackal, the IRA in Ireland, and the Lockerbie bombing).

Though the phrasing leaves a lot to be desired (it sends an inherent message that if one supports the protesters, then one is necessarily against pan-African unity) and kind of skims over his propensity to outright invade his neighbors, it nonetheless demonstrates some of the “good” that he’s done. Take a look, and prepare to be surprised.
